Approach to Work

At the grassroots, livelihoods of any communities are better off when water resources around them is just adequate -neither too much or too less water in terms of quantity; along with adequate quality and access. 

It's rare to find a place in our earth without some form of water crisis. All communities some time or other discuss and undergo water issue (either long spell or short spell) in most years. Over the years, water issues are set to rise affecting all stakeholders. In summary we experience following types of growing water crisis.

Water is available locally but not usable (High level of non-desirable solids or sanitary contamination issue)

Water sources drying up (Quantity issue)

Economic factor, where water is available in right quality and quantity, but not reaching the needy due to financial/rights issue

If we name yet another one, Water as a disaster source- a threat point


  Rainwater harvesting is mooted as a universal solution for water three initial issues highlighted above. However storage of rainwater in small quantities using ferro cement or cement /poly-tanks serves limited purposes. Issues include limited storage quantities, costly and more over does not add any value in general for the local ecological system function. 

In our approach rainwater depending on demand needs can be best channelized into soil based structures as visible storage over surface or as invisible storage as ground water, which is evolved as the best option which is sustainable, affordable and adapts to climate changes in the recent years.

Such a well designed rainwater collection using ecosystem renewal options enable qualitative and quantitative improvement of water resources, besides an effective means for multiple applications of water for drinking, industry, recreation, irrigation, livestock, fisheries etc. Besides this ensure a means towards climate change adaptation as well.
