Biography

Over the last 17 years, participated in various small and large scale water linked development consulting assignments in diverse roles: as planner, designer, lead researcher, project manager, team leader and as evaluator. Major exposure in urban and rural WASH programs, irrigation and IWRM/watershed projects in India and Nepal. 

Participated with various partners which includes international development firms, plantation companies, national/state governments, panchayats, urban local bodies, community organizations, NGO's, donors and multilateral banks- Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

  I received my engineering degree from Allahabad University and management studies from Imperial College, University of London. My core skill in water sector comprises:

Developing soil based rainwater harvesting systems for multiple use
   and climate change adaptation

Participatory action research for rejuvenation of community water resources

Technology development for water collection and solar desalination system

Facilitating community management of irrigation operations/water supply  
    operations

Process monitoring and evaluation of rural/ community water projects

Evaluation of watershed, rural and urban drinking water supply projects

Program management assistance for water projects in urban investment
   programs

 
My current interest is towards transformative development of rainwater harvesting along with waste water recycling using systems approach that enable water security for multiple uses in rural and urban areas, and for enabling climate change adaptation.
